
Dan Liu, M.D.
Biography
Dr. Dan Liu brings with her an impressive background and a wealth of experience in ophthalmology, ophthalmic surgery and corneal disease to the practice here at Eye Physicians of Marlborough as a Consultant from Milford-Franklin Eye Center.
After graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology,
Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. At graduation, she
was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Liu completed her residency
in ophthalmology at the Albany Medical Center Albany, NY. During residency, she received the
Center’s Good Physician Award and served as Chief Resident at the Albany Medical Center. She
then completed fellowship training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, specializing in Cornea,
External Diseases and Anterior Segment Surgery. Following several years of practice in
Worcester, she is now on the full-time staff of the Milford-Franklin Eye Center.
Dr. Liu's clinical focus is advanced cataract surgery, ORA technology, corneal transplantation
including DMEK, DSEK and classic penetrating keratoplasty. She also performs secondary
intraocular lenses, keratoconus collagen crosslinking, and addresses ocular surface tumors,
pterygia and glaucoma MIGS procedures. In addition, Dr. Liu provides clinical evaluation and
care for a wide variety of eye disorders, including glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and
dry eye.
Dr. Liu is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the
American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
